About the Library
The Library of the Faculty of Sfântu Gheorghe of the Sapientia University main objective is to aid and assist educational and research work at the University. The Library has more than 12 000 units – books, magazines, electronic documents, etc., furthermore strives to ensure the continued development of higher education and research in national and international literature.
The Library’s complete range of services are available only for the students and staff members of the University. For external library users, reading room services are provided.

Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: Between 8:00 A.M. and 16:00 P.M.
The opening hours may vary in exam periods and vacations.

Registration
Access to the library is only possible with a personal library card.
Students, teachers and staff of Sapientia EMTE can register free of charge and are entitled to all library services.
Documents required for registration:
External library users will surrender only their indentity card till the period of using reading room services.
Reading room regulations
Readers must surrender their library card at the desk.
Only essential items are allowed in the reading room. Luggage, coats, food and drinks must be left in the cloakroom.
Non-library books in the reader's possession must be shown to the librarian upon entry.
Silence must be maintained. No talking on mobile phones!
Books must be left on the tables after use.
Books must not be put back on the shelf!
Readers can use their own devices and have access to the Internet via the library’s Wi-Fi.
Loaning
Readers may borrow documents if they hold a valid library card.
Documents can be searched in the library's online catalogue.
The required document can be borrowed via a completed rental request form.
The rental period is two weeks to a semester, depending on the requested document’s availability.
All documents with a rentable status in the online catalogue can be borrowed.
Non-loanable documents:
It is possible to extend the rental of the documents in person at the reading room service desk or in e-mail. It is permitted to extend the loan once.
